Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile; PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He worked in the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI, Galway, Ireland) as a postdoctoral researcher until 2013, when he accepted the academic position in the University of Chile. He is part of the Editorial Board of two journals relating to the Semantic Web (JWS, SWJ) and has been a member of the Program Committees of various prestigious conferences, including AAAI, ESWC, ICDT, IJCAI, ISWC y WWW, among others.
His research interests center around the Semantic Web, and more generally diverse data on the Web, where he has worked on topics relating to indexing, querying, reasoning, search, entity linking, relation extraction, among others.
