Full professor at the Universida de Chile in the Department of Computer Science and senior researcher at the Millennium Institue Foundational Research on Data. He has a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad de Chile, a Master’s in Mathematical Logic from the P. Universidad Católica de Chile and Ph.D. in Computer Science at Wesleyan University, United States. He works in the area of databases, logic and data semantics on the web. He has published more than a hundred articles in the area, has edited and written several books, and has received various international awards. He has developed several public data projects for Chile. He currently researches on data fundamentals, open data, knowledge graphs and new query languages for them.
