Sebastian Valenzuela

Associate Professor of the School of Communications at Pontificia Universidad Católica, PhD in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2011). He has been associate researcher at the Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (CIGIDEN) and visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. His research focuses on public opinion, political communication, digital social networks and journalism, topics on which he has written in more than 60 academic publications. His work has won awards from international associations, including ICA, AEJMC and WAPOR. He is currently editor-in-chief of Cuadernos.info, the leading Latin American communications journal, and director of Research and Creation at the School of Communications of the Pontificia Universidad Católica.
