March, 2023.- The International Conference on Extending Database Technology (ICDT) is the most important conference in the area of databases, in which researchers, developers, industry professionals and users meet to learn about new ideas, techniques and tools, and exchange experiences.

In the 26th version of the ICDT, which takes place from March 28 to 31, 2023, in a hybrid format in Greece, Gonzalo Navarro, an academic from the Department of Computer Science of the U. de Chile, a researcher IMFD. In addition, the IMFD students Jorge Salas and Martín Muñoz, from the Master’s in Computing of the Catholic University, and the former IMFD student Tamara Cucumides, from the UC Institute of Mathematical and Computational Engineering, present at the conference.

ICDT is a prestigious international conference on research into the fundamentals and theory of data management. Previous ICDT events have been held in Rome, Bruges, Paris, Berlin, Prague, Delphi, Jerusalem, London, Siena, Edinburgh, Barcelona, Saint Petersburg, Lausanne, Uppsala, Berlin, Genoa, Athens, Brussels, Bordeaux, Venice, Vienna, Lisbon, Copenhagen (virtual), Nicosia (virtual) and Edinburgh (virtual). Since 2009, ICDT has been carried out annually and in conjunction with EDBT, following the successful SIGMOD/PODS model.
